In conjunction with Mitre10’s Helping Hands house build project, Niagara showed their support of the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Endowment Trust by donating the entire timber weatherboard cladding section of the charity house. The donation included all the weatherboards, matching scribers and box corners from the Envira Weatherboard System.

The three-bedroom house was completed onsite at Mitre10 Nelson and sold by auction on Saturday December 9th, 2017, which thrilled the Trust’s General Manager Paula Muddle who made the following comments;

“I would like to personally thank Niagara for donating weatherboards for the Helicopter House Build. It has been an amazing journey with a fantastic outcome, with us selling the house for $276,000 to a couple who really wanted to support the project.

Hundreds of hours were donated by hard-working builders, electricians, plumbers and other tradespersons. It was incredibly humbling to think they were all doing it for us and are as passionate about our service as we are. The net proceeds will be going into our Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Endowment Trust fund which means they remain in perpetuity and will benefit the entire community and generations to come.”
