New Bridge Improves Thoroughfare

As part of the ongoing growth at Niagara a new bridge was recently installed over the Waihopai River, which winds its way through KGR’s 27- hectare site at Kennington.

This is the company’s second bridge across the river, creating easier access and a complete loop around Niagara’s sawmill and the expanding remanufacturing plant.

The bridge means trucks can easily cart finger-jointed timber, chip and firewood from the remanufacturing plant safely onto Kennington Road and then merge with traffic on the Woodland–Invercargill Highway, without causing delays or congestion.
