As the new Remanufacturing buildings take shape at Niagara’s Kennington site the company prepares for the arrival and installation of the new Reman line which when fully operational will ensure we have capacity to meet the growing demand from both national and international markets.
It will be the newest plant of its type in the country, using the latest technology, and is set to be fully operational in early 2018. As a result, Niagara expects their finger jointed and laminated volume output (Reman) to increase by more than 50 percent over the next few years.
The new plant will be a positive boost for the wider community, generating direct and indirect employment and ongoing business for a wide range of support industries ranging from telecommunication providers to material suppliers to engineering companies.
Niagara sees a strong future in sawmilling and timber remanufacturing in Southland supported by strong partnerships with both our suppliers and customers.
