Forklift driver - Invercargill

 

 

Niagara has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled Forklift Driver looking for a solid career path. This is a fulltime permanent position on nightshift

The position will involve operating 5 to 8 tonne forklifts to perform a variety of forklift work such as stacking timber, transporting packs to storage areas and loading trucks and containers. It is a busy and diverse role requiring you to multi-task and work efficiently to keep up with production. You will also need to have or develop a good understanding of timber sizes and grades.

A current OSH approved Forklift certificate and F endorsement is required along with proven forklift experience. The successful candidate will be safety focused, self-motivated with a strong work ethic, keen to learn and have the ability to work unsupervised. Wheel, track and roller endorsements would be an advantage.

Maintenance Engineer - Invercargill

 

We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual to join our hard working maintenance team, this is a permanent fulltime position on a rotating shift pattern, with plenty of overtime avaliable to boost your income.

The primary focus of the role is ensuring that the plant and equipment in the Sawmill is running smoothly and efficiently to meet the demands of production. The position involves a variety of repair work, planning and completing the preventative maintenance schedule, fabrication, general industrial engineering.

We would be interested in hearing from anyone who: 

  • Has industrial engineering experience, preferably with a trade qualification
  • Demonstrates a sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Enjoys a job with variety including repair work, preventative maintenance and fabrication
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and safe working practices
  • Is innovative and forward thinking, and
  • Is able to work on a rotating day/night shift pattern

Timber Machinist, Invercargill

 

Due to the ongoing growth and expansion of the business Niagara has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled Timber Machinist to join our growing team. This is a permanent fulltime position based at our Kennington site.

The role is busy and diverse and involves the operation and maintenance of Planers, producing dressed and profiled timber to our customer’s specifications. The successful applicant will ideally have 3 - 5 years’ experience in timber remanufacturing and value added processing, you will also be comfortable in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will have a proven history with modern Planers and machine set up, be mechanically minded, safety focused, self-motivated with  excellent attention to detail. The ability to lead and train others would be advantageous, although not essential.
