Operations Support Coordinator - Invercargill

 

Due to continued growth within our organisation, we have an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious and professional person looking to grow their career & join the team at our busy sawmill in Kennington. The Operations Support Coordinator will provide a wide range of support across our operations and production teams, this is a diverse and varied role & reporting directly to the Site Manager you will learn our business from the ground up.

While this role involves entering & understanding our production data, systems and processes, it will at times require a hands on approach at the production level in order to fully understand our business. You will also work closely with our production planner and provide support to our Sales & Shipping Administrator, Customer & Sales Support, and Site Manager. To be successful in this role you must be analytical, a quick learner and thrive in a busy work environment. The role also has the ability to grow in size & scope depending on the candidate’s ability.

The successful candidate would ideally have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and time management skills
  • Be competent in working with the MS Office Suite and all standard office equipment
  • Show initiative and enjoy completing a variety of tasks
  • Have the ability to multi-task & problem solve
  • Be organised & structured with a high attention to detail
  • Hold a relevant tertiary degree (desirable but not essential)

Machine operators - Invercargill

 

Due to continuous growth and expansion of the business we are seeking hardworking team members to fill multiple vacancies within all departments, for permanent full time and fixed term roles.

  • Sawmill day shift:  6.00am-6.00pm Monday to Thursday (Friday as required) – Permanent full time
  • Sawmill night shift:  6.00pm-6.00am Monday to Thursday – Permanent full time
  • Drymill afternoon shift:  2.30pm-1.00am Monday to Thursday – 1 month fixed term
  • Reman day shift:  7.00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday (overtime as required) – Permanent full time
  • Reman day shift:  7.00am-3.30pm Monday to Friday (overtime as required) – 1 month fixed term

The positions involve working as part of a small multi-skilled team operating the machinery.

We are wanting to hear from people who are fast learners and are willing to prove they have what it takes to become a machine operator. You will need to strive to help us maximize production and quality, work well in a team and actively share in our strong focus on health and safety and continual improvement. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, keen to learn and have the ability to work unsupervised.

Sales Executive

 

On the back of increased sawmill production and timber processing an opportunity has been created for a new sales executive role based in our Kennington Office. The position will involve the sale of Niagara sawn timber products to South East Asia and the domestic market, in conjunction with managing the sale of all Niagara Timber Byproducts and wood waste. The roles main focus will be:

 

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for our products
  • Providing exceptional customer service and successfully partnering with our clients
  • Coordinating sales effort with sales management, production and dispatch departments
  • The preparation and monitoring of sales forecasts, budgets, and market and customer analysis
  • Working with our established distribution partners to maximize the sales of our timber byproducts
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives
  • Regular domestic and international travel

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have a proven track record of success and a strong working history in domestic and/or international sales and brand development. You will be a self-driven, highly motivated individual with a resilient approach to your work and the ability to excel in a fast paced environment. On top of that you should possess highly developed skills in account management & driving profitable sales growth. You will be highly respected amongst industry peers and your existing customer base. Although sales experience in the timber industry would be an advantage, it is not a prerequisite for this role as training can be provided for a candidate possessing the personal qualities and attributes we are seeking.
