Finger jointed products are created from quality New Zealand pine from which defects, such as knots, have been removed. Finger joints are precisely cut into the pieces of timber, and each joint is then glued in place using glues that ensure the finished product meets New Zealand standards. The finish, strength and stability created is superior to that of the original timber.
Sustainable radiata pine is grown in Southland and Otago. It is milled and kiln dried to between 10 and 14 percent moisture content at Niagara’s sawmill in Invercargill.
Preprimed products are machine coated on all faces with an alkyd true primer specially developed by Resene Paints. This revolutionary primer has greater weather and UV resistance and gives a genuine base ready for top coating.

H5 For below ground applications Niagara offers H5 (CCA) posts and beams. This treatment allows timber being inserted directly into the ground to meet building codes. Fifty-year warranty.
